10 Tips for Improving Status Reports

Does anyone like completing project status reports? No. Does anyone in your organization ever actually use them? Be honest. The answer is probably no. I found a great post by Mark Price Perry on gantthead.com which provides 10 tips for improving the effectiveness of a status report. I’ve summarized his tips below, but check out the full post here

1. Keep it short.
2. Keep it targeted.
3. Keep it well formatted.
4. Make it pretty.
5. Make it available.
6. Use it.
7. Improve it.
8. Accept it.
9. Don’t be intimidated by it.
10.Be open to change.
